There’s a game being played around you…look around

Football Field- Are you Playing?
Football Field- Are you Playing?

Ever wonder why some people end up achieving more and doing more with their lives and others lag behind and always are stuck doing the same thing over and over?

I am very curious as to why. What do these people know or do that we don’t?

What is going on? Well I want to talk about my journey and what I’ve pick up along the way of learning about all these sort of things.

Here’s the punch line, there’s a game being played around you that you may not realize.

It’s on a whole different level of thinking about action, work, career, success, money, time, and health.

Being aware of this is the first step. Most people stop there. I choose not to.

I choose to be persistent and not give up. What’s the alternative? Give up, not do anything about it? I don’t think so.

These people are not necessarily smarter than I am, they aren’t special or unique. They only did a few key things right and consistently in order to achieve extraordinary results.

Take a step back and evaluate your life. This is what I am doing right now. What do I want from life and how can I achieve it? What would I need to do now in order to have what I want later on? Where do I need to invest my time and energy on?

Notice the key word, “invest”, I chose this word deliberatly because everything you spend your time and energy on you will receive returns on that investment or lack there of. TV, video games, Facebook, Snapchat, is a form of entertainment and social interaction but that needs to be balanced with other areas of your life that need attention. Like your health, relationships, career, Love, and Spirit.

I am not giving advice or pontificating, I want to only talk about what I am going through and things I have learned. I am too young to know enough to tell you what to do.

Something valuable to you could be to talk about my perspective, what I am doing, what I am thinking about during this time. I think it will be really cool to look back many years from now and look at these posts and see what I was thinking about during this time of my life.

I love learning, more specifically I love learning about what I am naturally curious about. This leads to growth, knowledge and happiness. I am not letting Time pass me by because I am fully utilizing that time to my advantage.

I know that if I am not improving over time and constantly working on myself then gravity, over time will push me down.

I am constantly looking for new ways to push me out of my comfort zone. I know that growth will not come unless I push myself. I keep this in mind and remind myself.

I cannot achieve anything better without first believing that I can do it and then pushing myself to the next level of thinking and actions.

The more I learn the more questions I have. It’s comforting to see that even some of my mentors are still learning and growing. That’s just part of life. You can either take part of it or sit on the sidelines.

I choose to play! Get in the game and live. Your comfort zone is the sidelines. You are not even playing the game if you haven’t felt nervous, anxious, fear, chills, butterflies in your stomach, and smiling in the end because you know you did something new, different and out of that comfort zone. This leads to growth!!

Snap out of the norm! Take action, do something new and different. I write so I can bring out my thoughts and tell myself all of these things. Reminders for me. Also as a way to keep myself accountable to keep pushing and be consistent with what I write.

Aligning my actions behind my thoughts has been a learning experience. “I want to be healthier, well rounded, loving.” Well then I have to DO the things that it takes. Put in the work. As cliche as it sounds, actions speak louder than words. Taking a step back to evaluate where my actions, time, and money are being spent and do those match up to my goals and what is the most important to me.

Actionable Steps: For me 🙂 If you want to do this with me feel free ! !

What is 1 skill or habit that I can start implementing slowly that will make the biggest difference in my life a year from now.

Some thoughts are:

Skills:
Leadership skills, Social skills and sales.

Habits:
Deep work, exercise in morning (when I can’t in evening), and consistently write on here to improve my writing capability.

Let me know what you would like to improve on or are thinking about 🙂

Than you for reading all the way to the end!!! 🙂
